Google assured its users that the bugs found in the Google Places dashboard which has been affecting the analytic s reporting of a local business listing since the last few days will be fixed soon. Earlier, it was noticed by the users that the figures shown in the dashboard was more than a week older and was not updated since then. The delay in the analytics reporting was actually caused by at least a couple of bugs inside Google Places. In its Help forum thread, Google’s Ari B. said, “We’re aware of the problem and are working to get the most up-to-date information into the Google Places dashboard. You should start seeing more recent listing activity in the next few days.” Showing Zero Activity: Although the dashboard is working much better now but the problem is still not fixed. The local business persons and local search marketers have also found their data missing in the Google Places analytics, even showing zero activity for many days in some cases. However, a Google spokesperson said that the missing data is mainly caused by “clustering”, in which Google combines two businesses into one algorithmically and with over-aggression.
