No, PPC ia not a branch of Search Engine Optimisation.

The organic results displayed at the search page of any search engines can be done free through SEO techniques, where as PPC results displayed at the right side as "sponsered listings", to optimise this part we need to pay the search engines.

No, SEO & PPC are the branches of Search engine marketing (SEM) or Web marketing.

SEO activities are mostly free but PPC activities are not free.

The result of PPC is faster than SEO.
