I have been writing web content since many years and I would like to share some points with regards to bounce rate.
Bounce Rate is actually a technical process by Google.
When visitors of your website do not give much important to your web content and if there is not much information for them then they simply click away from your site that produces a rate of percentage in Google.
Google examines when visitors do not stop at your site and simply click away to other site.
This will produce less rate of percentage for your site.
That`s bounce rate.
Therefore, you need to get less bounce rate.
If you are having less bounce rate for your website means many visitors are reading your web site content.
The main thing to be done to get less bounce rate is nothing but only good content.
However, images will have also considerable impact on visitors.

I agree with Andrew, yes, good quality content with potential information which exactly looked for is the key to make stay visitors in a web page and once visitors keep reading your content that minimises bounce rate.
Actually bounce rate should not be improved; it is to get minimised.
Lower bounce rate greater reading and larger viewing your content.
When visitors do not like your content they simply click away from the page that increases bounce rate.
If you want to have lower bounce rate you need to develop good quality content that should be informative and simplified.

Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors leave after 10 seconds or less or to see a page.
The best way to keep your bounce rate down is to give people a reason to stay.
You need quality information that is going to grab their attention.
